About this beta

Rule One Cinema connects people through films, scores, communities, discussions and original writing. This is an evolving beta; features and availability may change. The service is operated by Nkosinathi Shange. The service operates from South Africa. Contact nkosinathishange502@gmail.com for support, complaints, appeals and privacy requests. A business contact address and other unresolved launch details remain to be supplied before these terms become final.

There is currently no paid checkout or active R49 subscription. Core participation is available without an app subscription. Cinema tickets, streaming subscriptions and external music services may charge separately.

Your account and conduct

Use an account you are entitled to use, keep your password and email verification codes private, and give accurate information. Your display name may be a chosen name; it must not impersonate someone else. The same verified sign-in email is mapped to one cinema profile.

Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, spam, manipulate rankings or votes, exploit the service, or upload illegal material. Respect community rules and mark spoilers.

Your creative work

You retain ownership of your original writing, pictures, music and other uploads. By posting, you permit the service to store, display and deliver that material within the audience and features you choose, for operating the service. Posting does not transfer ownership of a screenplay or give other members permission to commercially use your work.

Only upload material you own or have permission to share. A movie reference or fan community does not grant permission to reproduce protected artwork, film clips or recordings. Table-read participation is voluntary; authors can withdraw their volunteering. Agree directly with collaborators on credits and any further use of a project.

Visibility and moderation

Profiles and public activities are visible to other signed-in members. Private community content requires the relevant access; connection messages and Double Bill conversations have separate access checks. Another recipient may still copy or share content they can view.

Use Report for suspected abuse and Block to stop new private contact. Community creators and delegated moderators have only the permissions assigned to their role. An operator may review reported material and take proportionate action. Send appeals and complaints to nkosinathishange502@gmail.com.

External information and services

Film details, recommendations, rankings and viewing offers may be incomplete or change. Recommendations reflect recorded preferences and are not a guarantee that you will like a film. Follow the provider’s current offer and terms before buying tickets or subscribing.

Movie, music and cinema links open third-party services. Rule One Cinema does not supply movie streaming licences or imply endorsement by a film studio, franchise or soundtrack provider.

Live rooms and calls

Members can join community screenings using their own lawful viewing access. Shared countdowns do not control third-party streaming services or grant screening or distribution rights. Screen sharing is for material you have permission to share.

Voice, video and screen sharing require permission and participation is voluntary. Live voice/video rooms currently have four seats; availability depends on browser and network support. The app does not record call media. Do not record or redistribute another participant’s voice, video or screen without their agreement.

Leaving and deleting

You can leave communities and use Settings to delete your cinema profile. Deleting your profile also deletes communities you own and associated app records covered by the deletion feature. A creator can separately delete their own community. Review the confirmation carefully because these actions are permanent.

Cinema-profile deletion does not delete your ChatGPT account or automatically delete a Supabase email sign-in account. Provider-held identity records and operational logs may remain. See the privacy notice for these distinctions.

Future supporter memberships

Any supporter offer must describe the delivered benefits, full price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation method and refund conditions before checkout. The proposed R49 monthly price is not an active offer in this beta.

Paid access must follow verified server-side payment confirmation. Cancellation should stop future renewals; the paid-through access date and any required refund rights must be disclosed in the final billing terms. No blanket “no refunds” rule is established here, and these draft terms do not remove applicable consumer rights.

Changes and unresolved details

Material changes should be communicated before they take effect. The operator is Nkosinathi Shange. These notices still require a relevant business contact address, intended age policy and retention schedule. Professional legal review is recommended for the launch jurisdiction; it is not represented here as a general launch-approval requirement. Do not treat this draft as a legal-compliance certification.
